Grow My Tree Partnership

MRP partnership with GROW MY TREE

We are proud to share our latest and very exciting news with you.

Sustainability has always been at the very heart of what we do here at MRP, we are on a mission to help fight climate change which is why we are very proud to be partnering with GROW MY TREE!

We have already planted 4,000 trees – neutralising a massive 88,000 CO2! For every order you place with us (no matter how big or small), we will plant a tree just for you. Our aim is to plant at least a further 4,000 trees this year.

GROW MY TREE works with countries in the Global South to plant trees where the environmental, social and economic leverage is greatest – ensuring all plantings are fair, sustainable and certified. Only trees native to that area with high survival rates are planted to protect the local flora and fauna – this also helps guarantee the long-term survival of the trees. Every tree is certified for full traceability.

The trees are planted in collaboration with local farmers, this generates income and supports local communities. Cultural traditions and the needs of the local communities are strictly taken into account, along with high ethical standards and fair wages.

With your help, we would like to plant as many trees as possible and we would like to thank you for helping us achieve what we have so far!

As these trees are planted from your orders, we can send you a personalised certificate for the number of trees you have helped plant over the last year, as well as future orders going forward.

If you would like to find out more about buying or gifting trees please feel free to contact us or see www.growmytree.com

Gordon Ramsay Future Food Stars

BBC1 Future Food Stars by Gordon Ramsay

We are very proud to announce we have had the incredible honour of producing the labels for the BBC1 Future Food Stars by Gordon Ramsay!

Episode 5 (Season 2) which aired last night, saw the two teams set with task of creating a bottled sauce, which they must then present to Sauce Shop (who have the most incredible sauces) and Gordon Ramsay for judging. The two sauces designed were Flaming Pineapple Molasses and Ha’Pea Ketchup. Ha’Pea Ketchup (best described as mushy peas meets curry sauce) was crowned the winning sauce and will be available for a limited time to buy at Sauce Shop – please see https://www.sauceshop.co/…/sauce-shop-x-gordon-ramsay…

We cannot give out too many details, however it was a very exciting night! After receiving the information for the artwork mid-afternoon, we had a few hours to create the artwork, make the printing plates and produce these labels. These labels were printed on our state of the art inline hybrid Mark Andy Pro 3 press with flexo UV white and digital CMYK.

It makes you really appreciate the work that goes off behind the scenes, so the contestants can continue with their tasks once the brief has been set.

We would love to have this opportunity to work with Gordon Ramsay again in the future! Thank you to Sauce Shop for the honour and we loved working with you on this.

Good luck to the final contestants! You are all incredible!

We would also like to say a massive THANK YOU to Brownett Ltd for stopping their production and producing these plates so quickly for us, we couldn’t have done this without them!

Colour Psychology for Packaging

Your choice of colours for your packaging will set your product apart from your competitors’ products. This is one of the most important elements when designing your packaging.

White
White is an excellent choice where you want to create the impression of cleanliness, purity, efficiency or simplicity. However it can also stand for basic and conservative, depending on the message you want to portray.

Black
Black is the colour of power, authority and control. It tends to stand out as it makes products appear more expensive and can create a higher perceived value. Black can add a degree of mystery and intimidation or elegance and class, depending on your target audience.

Blue
Blue builds customers trust, it creates the feel of honesty and reliability, strength and unity. Blue can indicate a product that will contribute to the buyer’s relaxation and calmness. Use darker blue to create the more professional feel and light blue for a more creative product.

Red
Using red for your packaging draws attention to your product, it stimulates the senses and excites the potential buyer. Red stands for energy, action, passion, excitement and strength.

Pink
Pink packaging is generally most appropriate for products relating to the female market such as cosmetics, fashion, beauty and romance. Pink creates a feeling of warmth and compassion, whilst being calming and comforting.

Green
Green creates packaging that will represent a balanced, calming design. If you want to show that your product is natural or organic use this colour. Dark green can also be used to show wealth and luxury whilst adding a professional quality to your package.

Gold
Gold packaging suggests expensive, luxurious and high quality. However your product should reflect this high standard or you will lose credibility – a poor quality product inside gold packaging will appear cheap.

Silver
Silver packaging implies elegance and sophistication. It is more gentle than gold and it combines well with almost all other colours highlighting anything printed or decorated on the packaging.
